DESCRIPTION:Believe it or not\, summer vacation is almost over. As the days start to get a little shorter next month\, it's time to shop for school supplies and get children prepared to go back to class.\n\nTo celebrate the back-to-class season\, YMCA of Metro Chicago centers across the city and the suburbs are holding Back-to-Class Block Parties throughout the month of August. All of the events are free and open to both members and the community\, and will feature tons of family-friendly games and activities.\n\nOur Back-to-Class Block Party at the Lake View YMCA will be Friday\, August 12 from 6:30 to 8 p.m.\, featuring a camp talent show!\n\nOf course\, school isn't the only place your children can learn\, grow and thrive this fall. The YMCA of Metro Chicago will be offering early learning programs\, before and after school care\, swimming lessons\, sports and fitness programs and so much more. Fall registration opens August 1!
