DESCRIPTION:Lakeview Business & Property Owners: In 2015\, all Chicago properties will be reassessed for property tax purposes.  Given the city's aggregate tax rate continues to rise\, making sure a property is valued correctly for tax purposes is crucial.\n\nYou have the ability to impact your property tax liability. For properties in Lakeview\, assessments will be mailed on April 8th and appeals must be filed within THIRTY DAYS at the Assessor's Office.  A second opportunity to appeal at the Board of Review will occur later in the year.\n\nOn April 9th\, the Lakeview Chamber of Commerce\, Lakeview East Chamber of Commerce and the Chicago Association of REALTORS  will present a property tax education seminar designed to equip owners with techniques to appeal their properties\, the type of information needed for a successful appeal\, and the timeline for appeals.
