Does Lakeview Need More TOD?
Lakeview has the highest rate of transit commuting of any neighborhood in the city, yet today there are fewer housing units within a half-mile walk of several of our CTA stations than there were fifteen years ago. What does this trend mean for Lakeview businesses and residents? Join Lakeview Chamber of Commerce and Lake View Citizens’ Council for a discussion about Transit-Oriented Development (TOD)—a planning approach that encourages residential and business growth close to transit infrastructure. Speakers include leading policy experts and a local business owner, who will moderate the conversation.
Speakers:
Lisa Santos, Southport Grocery
Peter Skosey, Metropolitan Planning Council
Kyle Smith, Center for Neighborhood Technology
