Getting to Know Your Local Market: Consumer Demographic Data for Small Businesses
Who are the local consumers near your business? Understanding your local market is critical to building and maintaining a successful business plan. Whether you’re just starting your business plan or you’ve been in business for years, this workshop is a great opportunity to learn how to research our local market or brush up on your knowledge on recent trends and changes in our West Lakeview and Roscoe Village consumers. Learn how you can use to the Decennial Census, American Community Survey, and the Economic Census to better understand the local market around your business. We’ll explore tools such as the American FactFinder and the Census Business Builder, as well as resources available through your local Chamber of Commerce. Bring your laptop to start exploring tools with us.
Organized by the Lakeview and Roscoe Village Chambers of Commerce in partnership with the U.S. Census Bureau and Chicago Public Library
