Southport Grand Reopening Ribbon-Cutting

Construction on Southport is over and we're celebrating! Join the Lakeview Chamber of Commerce, 44^th Ward Ald. Tom Tunney, and local Southport businesses for a Grand Reopening Ribbon-Cutting! Southport has been undergoing water main construction since February from Belmont to Addison and road resurfacing from Belmont to Irving Park. New crosswalks have also been installed at Southport and Newport, making the business district more pedestrian-friendly. The work is wrapping up at the end of July.

Now that the Southport Corridor shopping district is back to normal and better than ever following months of water main and road construction, customers are invited to come rediscover their favorite shops. The Southport Corridor is home to dozens of clothing and accessory shops, including independent boutiques as well as familiar national brands. The quaint street is the perfect spot for a day of shopping, and also offers plenty of places to take a break for a great meal or a spa treatment.
