There is a difference between Martial Arts and Self-Defense! A trained martial artist certainly has a few more tools in his or her arsenal to deal with an attack, but in a modern context, effectively dealing with violence involves a lot more than knowing how to throw a punch.
We've put together a comprehensive program that prepares students to deal with the psychological and legal aspects of self-defense, as well as the physical. This 11 hour intensive workshop will cover physical self-defense techniques, mental preparedness and awareness, emotional preparedness, legal issues relating to self-defense in the United States, and a host of other topics.
As the title suggests, this event is for female participants only. We don't typically segregate our events by sex or gender, but research suggests that doing so yields much better results for the participants. However, if we see a demand for men's self-defense workshops, we may add those as well, so if you're interested in seeing that sort of a seminar, please speak up!
If you can't make it this time, but are interested in self-defense, let us know! We also offer private instruction, corporate self-defense events, and host private events. Email us for more details. Salamat po!
