Blaine School Walk-A-Thon
Please support Blaine by donating- no amount is too small! Visit www.friendsofblaine.org and make a donation online (at bottom of home page). The Walk-a-thon is an annual Friends of Blaine fundraiser which raises funds to support enrichment for the entire student population.
Friends of Blaine is a 501 C-3, not for profit group that was founded in 2003 to support high quality educational and artistic programming for the James G. Blaine Elementary school. Blaine was constructed in 1893 and is located at 1420 W. Grace in the Lakeview neighborhood. Blaine is consistently ranked as one of the Chicago’s best elementary schools and serves more than 900 K-8th grade students from diverse backgrounds, most of who live in the Lakeview neighborhood.
The following grants are planned for the 2015/2016 school year:
• Lockers for middle school students
• Outside basketball courts
• Class performances led by LookingGlass Theater, Forward Momentum, and
dancing with Class
• Printing the Blaine Blast newsletter
• We Got Game for sports programming during recess
• And more with fundraising success
