Lakeview Tree Lighting Ceremony

Celebrate the kickoff of the holiday season in Lakeview with the lighting of Lakeview's community Christmas tree! Enjoy live performances and a special visit from Santa! The festivities will take place outdoors at the Lincoln Hub intersection of Lincoln/Southport/Wellington.

Head to S&G Restaurant before the tree lighting from 4:30-6PM for an ornament-making arts & crafts project hosted by KidCreate Art Studio! You can put your ornament on the Lakeview Christmas tree or bring it home!

Advocate Health will be hosting a Coat & Book Drive during the event, so please bring any used coats or books to donate to those in need!

The Tree Lighting Ceremony will begin at 6PM.

Highlights include:
  • Carols performed by students from Alphonsus Academy and Center for the Arts
  • Appearances by cast members from Gian Carlo Menotti's "Amahl and the Night Visitors" and Ballet Chicago's "The Nutcracker" performing this November and December at Athenaeum Theatre
  • A countdown to the tree lighting featuring an appearance by Santa, joined by other community leaders
  • S&G Restaurant and Golden Apple Diner will also be serving FREE hot chocolate from 6-8pm!

This event is sponsored by Lakeview SSA 27.
