Mental Health First Aid (ADULT)
Mental Health First Aid is a public education course that brings awareness to mental health issues. It introduces participants to risk factors and warning signs of mental health problems, builds understanding of their impact and overviews common treatments.
All participants receive lunch, a course manual, a resource folder, & a certificate of completion valid for three years.
C4 offers continuing education credits for the following professionals who attend the Adult MHFA course:
- Human Resource Professionals through the Human Resources Certificate Institute (6.5 hours)
- Counselors, Social Workers, Marriage and Family Therapists, and Clinical Psychologists through the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR) (8 hours)
- Educators through the Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE) (8 hours)
- Nurses through the Ohio Nurses Association (ONA) (8 hours)
